The TEBA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Committeevisited visited Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), Director General, Mr. Ronnarong Phoolpipat.

On 8 June, the TEBA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Committee, led by Mr. Tom Cachet, with support from TEBA President Mr. Pierre Jaffre and representative from TEBA Members, visited Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), Director General, Mr. Ronnarong Phoolpipat. During the meeting, our committee addressed current FTA issues including CAROTAR challenges, invoicing under ASEAN+1 FTAs and recommendations for non-preferential origin determination. We would like to thank the DFT for their gracious welcome.  TEBA is looking forward to collaborations in the near future.

TEBA Honorary Advisor and TEBA Member representatives held a meeting with the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN)

This morning, the TEBA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Committee, led by Mr. Tom Cachet, SCM Chairman, with support from Mr.Stefan Heuer, TEBA President, Mr.Joseph Hong, TEBA Vice President, Dr. Ajaree Tavornmas, TEBA Honorary Advisor and TEBA Member representatives held a meeting with the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN), Mrs. Auramon Supthaweethum, Director General of DTN together with several DTN sections. Thai Customs Department Technical Session 1/2023 TEBA Supply Chain Management Committee

On 28th February, Thai-European Business Association Supply Chain Management Committee, led by Mr. Tom Cachet, visited the Thai Customs Department to conduct technical sessions on the topics of Import Licensing and Customs Valuation. The Committee is grateful for the valuable discussions and the important exchange of views that took place with Customs. Supply Chain Management Committee (SCM) 2023 Kick-Off Meeting

On 15 February 2023, TEBA held its Supply Chain Management Committee (SCM) 2023 Kick-Off Meeting virtually through MS Teams. The event took place from 16.30-17.30 hrs. (TH) and was open to all interested individuals who registered through the provided link. During the meeting, the SCM Committee discussed several important topics, including engaging in Technical Working Sessions with Thai Customs on selected issues, advocating for Free Trade Agreements, promoting sustainability in the supply chain, and considering other topics related to Supply Chain Management brought up by Members. ASEAN-EU Regional Conference

On 17 June 2022, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) received a great opportunity to participate in the “ASEAN-EU Regional Conference” hosted by Asia Centre and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (Southeast and East Asia).  By this event, Mr. Tom Cachet, Chairman of the TEBA Supply Chain Management Committee, Senior Manager at Deloitte was TEBA representative who shared the ASEAN-EU Free Trade topic in this engaging panel discussion. The TEBA team, we sincerely appreciate the providing opportunity. TEBA SCM visit the Customs Department

[TEBA Advocacy] On August 16th, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) had the honour to visit Mr. Patchara Anuntasilpa, Director-General at the Thai Customs Department and his colleagues from various Divisions. The discussion was lead by Mr. Tom Cachet, Chairman of TEBA Supply Chain Management Committee, Mr. Michelin Wiroj Tangcharoen, TEBA Honorary Advisor together with other TEBA Members (Deloitte, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Car Thailand, Robert Bosch). On Tuesday 29th March, the TEBA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at Ballroom, Rembrandt Hotel & Suites, Sukhumvit 20. the TEBA Team reported last year’s activities, advocacy and the financials to our members. After that, we have also presented TEBA Working Groups and Committees: Automotive, European Aerospace Committee a joint FTCC / TEBA initiative, Digitalization, Supply Chain Management, Smart SMEs. Visiting the DTNs

On March 7th, TEBA visited Mrs. Auramon Supthaweethum, Director-General, Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN). During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as well as discussed on future cooperation opportunities between TEBA and the DTN. Introducing Supply Chain Management Committee

Thai European Business Association is proudly to introduce the newly established Supply Chain Management Committee lead by Tom Cachet together with co-chairman Stefan Van der Sluys. Aims to provide a forum for company executives to regularly exchange information and best practices in relation to supply chain trends in Thailand and advocate for better market access, lesser barriers to trade and sustainable supply chains. A major focus of this committee in the year 2022 will be to closely follow the framework development and negotiations of the pending EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement.
