On March 31st 2021, TEBA was attended the webinar on Europe’s New Trade Policy: What’s in it for ASEAN?, hosted by The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and The EU – ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC).
The session started with the welcoming addresses from H.E. Eduardo de Vega Philippine Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union . Moreover, there were several topics of discussion for instance;
– Why should the European Commission be paying more attention to ASEAN? Where are the opportunities?
– If the EU is looking to focus on the environment, labour and human rights issues, what growth levers should ASEAN consider or prioritise moving forward? Are there opportunities for ASEAN companies under the European Green Deal?
– What does a bolder EU mean for the current international order and what changes should ASEAN expect?
