On October 8th 2019, Thai – European Business Association (TEBA) held the Exclusive Dinner Talk with Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN), Ministry of Commerce at Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21. Members of TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Director-General, Ms.Kejpiroon Kohsuwan of the DTN with main discussion focus on the future Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the coming years. On September 9th, 2019 TEBA was invited to attend the 7th ASEAN-EU Business Summit at the Okura Prestige Bangkok Hotel, with many excellent key note address by H.E. Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Minister of Finance for the Kingdom of Thailand, in which he focused on the need to help ASEAN with the finance of infrastructure and also planning for aging societies to avoid the middle income trap. Panels were held on the development of the Digital Economy in ASEAN and “Financing ASEAN’s Future”.
On March 21st, 2019, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) with WHA Industrial Development PLC, Italian Aerospace Network (IAN), Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) organized the workshop “2019 Workshop & B2B on Thailand Path to Aerospace”, at Pattana Golf and Sport Resort, Chonburi. Ms. Siyaphas Chantachairoj, Director – Corporate Marketing, WHA Corporation PCL, welcomed the participants who were given exposure in the aviation and aerospace markets, trend and opportunities in the Thai aerospace industry.

Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Thana Alapach of the TISI with main discussions focus on TISI’s policies and their future national strategy for standardization. On March 7th, 2019, Thai-European Business Association held exclusive dinner talk with the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) at Pullman Grande Bangkok Sukhumvit from 18.00 – 20.00 hrs. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang of the BOI with main discussions focus on BOI’s incentives for investments and their future strategy for Electric Vehicle (EV) and the the Automotive Industry. On March 11th, TEBA together with EABC Automotive Working Group have participated in the consulting meeting with PCD Director-General, Pralong Damrongthai on solution on PM2.5 and Euro 5 Regulations. The meeting was attended by companies such as Bosch, Continental, CNH Industrial Services, DHL Supply Chain, Michelin, ThaiGerTec, Umicore Autocat and TUV Rheinland.
Thai-European Business Association held internal meeting with the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) on March 1st, 2019 from 15.00 – 17.00 hrs. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with President, Dr. Yossapong Laoonual of the EVAT with main discussions regarding electric vehicle (EV) roadmap and framework including the development of the automotive industry. The meeting was attended by companies such as Bosch, Continental, Mercedes Benz, Michelin, P.C.S Holding, TUV Rheinland and Schaeffler.
On March 11th, Thai-European Business Association was invited in attend the press conference and was received certificate of participation from the Department of Land Transport under the department’s Road Safety campaign. Director-General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Kamol Buranapong has launched Road Safety Campaign ahead of Songkran who spoke that the DLT is ensuring the preparedness of facilities, promoting road safety practices during the upcoming Songkran holidays.

On November 22nd, 2018, the Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) held its one of its biggest events last week titled “How to work with Global Tier 1s in ASEAN”. The seminar and networking session was attended by almost 100 participants from several companies that are a part of the Automotive manufacturings sector as well as other Tier 1/2/3 companies.
