TEBA SCM visit the Customs Department

[TEBA Advocacy] On August 16th, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) had the honour to visit Mr. Patchara Anuntasilpa, Director-General at the Thai Customs Department and his colleagues from various Divisions. The discussion was lead by Mr. Tom Cachet, Chairman of TEBA Supply Chain Management Committee, Mr. Michelin Wiroj Tangcharoen, TEBA Honorary Advisor together with other TEBA Members (Deloitte, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Car Thailand, Robert Bosch). During the meeting TEBA and Customs had an open discussion about Customs’ strategy and objectives for 2022/2023 and Customs’ role in Industry 4.0 and the BCG economy. Visiting the DTNs

On March 7th, TEBA visited Mrs. Auramon Supthaweethum, Director-General, Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN). During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as well as discussed on future cooperation opportunities between TEBA and the DTN. Lunch Talk on “Reopening Thailand: Main Targets and Ways to Achieve them”

TEBA Internal Meeting with DLT

On Tuesday 23rd March, Thai-European Business Association held an internal meeting with Mr. Chirute Visalachitra, Director General of the Department of Land Transport. The main focus of this discussion is to highlight the current status of ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (Trial Run) as well as the ASEAN Automotive Committee (AAC) framework.

TEBA Internal Meeting with TISI

Yesterday (March 3rd, 2021), Thai-European Business Association held an internal meeting with the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Thana Alapach of the TISI with main discussions focus on the role of participation of the Thai government in the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), review of the existing standards for automotive provided conformity of the UNECE regulations as well as the development of entrepreneurial readiness.

Consideration on the ATTRIC

Today (February 17th, 2021), Thai-European Business Association was invited to attend in a webinar which were organized by Thailand Development Research Institute Foundation (TDRI) and Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), opening remarks by Mr.Thana Alapach, the deputy secretary general of TISI. The meeting had focused mainly on the consideration on the Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center (ATTRIC) platform and policy as well as to establish development scheme, business model and future operation.

Round Table – Automotive Industry

On 25th November 2020, Thai-European Business Association was delighted to be working with the BOI Paris and Baden-Württemberg International for its latest webinar “the roundtable session – automotive industry”. Our President, Mr. Stefan Heuer delivered an insight session to participants, presenting and sharing his perspectives on roadmap to the next generation of automotive industry in Thailand.

The DTN’s Meeting

On 13th November 2020, Thai-European Business Association was invited to attend in a focus group meeting of the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTNs), Ministry of Commerce. The meeting focused on the effects of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) between Thailand and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) including the benefits for the overall Thai economy.

An Internal Meeting with TISI

On August 10th, Thai-European Business Association held an internal meeting with the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Thana Alapach of the TISI with main discussions focus on diesel sulfur content impact on Euro VI vehicles. The meeting was attended by companies such as BMW, Bosch, Continental, Michelin, Mercidedes Benz, Schaeffler and Umicore.

The 2020 Road Safety Campaign

On December 26th, 2019, the Thai-European Business Association had the pleasure of attending the Road Safety Booth Fair, organized by the Department of Land Transport (DLT). His Excellency Mr. Saksiam Chitchob, Minister of Transport has launched the Road Safety Campaign during the 2020 New Year Festival in an effort to lower the number of injuries, deaths and accidents on roads by trying to control factors causing road accidents.

On December 2nd, 2019 Thai-European Business Associaton was invited to attend the Road Safety Campaign Press event, organised by the Department of Land Transport. His Excellency Mr. Saksayam Chidchob, Minister of Transport, the Transport Company Limited, the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, the Thai Automotive Industry Association and the Thai Motorcycle Enterprise Association who spoke about Road Safety Campaign, directed at a specific target group of road users and reduced road traffic accident during the 2020 New Year Festival.

THE 1st INTERNATIONAL AIR RAIL TRANSPORT SUMMIT 2019

On 20th November 2019, Thai-European Business Association attended in the opening event of the 1st INTERNATIONAL AIR RAIL TRANSPORT SUMMIT 2019. The event was also joined by Thailand’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Italian Embassy to Thailand, as well as supported by organisations such as the Railways of Thailand (SRT), Mass Rapid Transit Authority Thailand (MRTA), Thailand’s Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and planning (OTP), Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA), the Italian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (TICC), the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) etc.
