Thai-European Business Association held internal meeting with the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) on March 1st, 2019 from 15.00 – 17.00 hrs. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with President, Dr. Yossapong Laoonual of the EVAT with main discussions regarding electric vehicle (EV) roadmap and framework including the development of the automotive industry. Chulalongkorn University’s Energy Research Institute will be presenting a research report to the Thai Ministry of Energy on proposals for Thailand’s future energy plan. TEBA recently helped organize a meeting with members of the private sector to present the researchers’ proposals and gather opinions on the plan for inclusion when it is submitted to the government. The presentation was carried out by Chulalongkorn University’s Dr. Weerin.
From 28 April to 1 May, TEBA participated in the annual Thailand Autoparts and Accessories (TAPA) exhibition at the BITEC exhibition center organized by the Thai Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA). The exhibition is Thailand’s largest exhibition displaying the capabilities of Thailand’s automotive parts manufacturers.
